I live on Valleyview Drive and noticed a lot of mailboxes are bent and folded in. Is there vandalism going on in the Forest Park section. I am very disturbed about this and wanted to know what is going on? I owned a home in New York and never had a problem with my mailbox. Are these boxes defective? I must have seen 15 mails bend, folded and damaged.
Hi Ms K.
I for one can say that unfortunately the boxes are made of tin and are prone to damage easy. And we have so much activity, from the commercial trucks going around giving the occasional hit with the big mirrors, the kids horsing around while walking to school, the landscapers hitting them while edging the sidewalks. Why they did not use PVC, we'll never know. However most dents and dings on these are easy to pop out from the inside. I seam to remember that one of the big box stores now carries replacements , check Lowes or Home Depot. Hope your not missing the snow. PAUL

Its the deadbeats that are not paying their fair share that led to extra dollars added to the homeowner fees this year to make up for the shortfall. Wait till next year when we may be subjected to maybe $100-150 a month special assessments. If you don't believe that come out to various meetings and find out the facts!! You are correct that we don't have all that Solivita has but do you think that they get that for nothing?? If that is what you want, then move there or take an interest and join some of the committees here in Bellalago that other residents are giving up their time so everyone else can have a great place to live.
If you want to use the boat ramp buy a boat! It is there for you to use!
I know several "snowbirds" and not one of them complain about the fees. They knew it and accept it because they know what a special place we have here.
I do not want to start a war of words here, but there are many good people that enjoy living here and pay their dues on time and actually like living here. It is comments like yours and George's that unnecessarily rile up people for no reason. So sit back, relax and enjoy your time here. Also try some of the amenities, the gym, walking club, aqua fitness workout, the Sunset Grill, bring your kids to the many activities we have for them, come to the Neighborhood Watch meetings and find out whats happening around here, go to Bingo every other Friday evening, etc, etc etc.

Hello! Dispite reading the comments above we think the community is Amazing! We selected your communities on how beautiful the area is and the great retreat areas. We are closing on our house in June and have a few questions. One is getting a copy of the bylaws. Brightstar Cable I know is part of our HOA fees what is the package included. Where do we get the activities for the community? Thanks in Advance!

We're considering moving into Bella Lago but need to know ahead of time what the rules are. Is there a way to take a look at the HOA restrictions? Or at least a synopsis? We were VERY impressed with the beauty of the area but we want to make an informed decision. Thanks SO much for your help

Hi , I am a first time home buyer and fell in love with this community; however I am a little concerned with HOA and any increses such as any special assesments or people not paying what they owe? Can you give me any insight please?

While I do agree with what you said, you can't blame them for having a point of view and expressing it here at the blog. They have their point when wandering about why they have to pay for something they don't use. Having said that, we don't only pay for the amenities, we also pay for maintenance of the beautiful landscapes, the security guards and such. For example, I was upset when Avatar told me I still have to pay the dues for the house I wasn't living in when I bought and moved to another house in Bellalago and moved there. However, it makes sense that even if the house was empty, they still have to maintain and provide the services to the community. It may seem unfair to some people and I understand why, but rules are rules and we have to honor them. Anyway, lets try to enjoy what we have because it's truly wanderful!!

Got the letter from TOHO Water today. We are being charged $47 every month for waste water treatment. That's twice as much as New Jersey (which is the brunt of all the sewer jokes

Hi everyone. Was hoping for some feedback regarding the community and the lifestyle. We are very close to purchasing in Bellalago. I am from the area but have been overseas for 14 years. My parents live in Solivita. I have an 11 year old son who has never lived in America. I am concerned about how he adjusts and want to give him the best opportunities possible to fit in. My wife and I will have no problem! Any comments on the safety, how it is for kids, kids activities, what the school is like, etc. etc. Any advice would be appreciated. We would be very into the amenities and community and look to do our part to be active members. Thank you
