SAC MEETING at LIBERTY HIGH on Sept. 16 at 6:30pm Come one & Come all! The high school that serves Bellalago and the surrounding area would love to have your input on making the school an even more wonderful goal achieving adventure for the students, staff, and community. Let your ideas be heard. Meet the new principal, Mr. Studly, and other fine folks of the community. This is a community involvement group with only the best at heart for LHS! You DO NOT have to be a parent of a student at Liberty to attend. This is open to everyone. The secret to a successful school is community guidance, community opportunity, community support. Realtors say it's all location, location, location... in this case it's community, community, community. Come on and show these kids that you care and that they really do matter! This is your chance to help these fine young people reach for the stars full of Chargers Pride! Don't forget the next meeting is Sept 16, 2008 at 6:30! We hope to see you there! GO CHARGERS!

There is a great family place in downtown Kissimmee called the Clayhouse. It is a paint-your-own pottery studio. It is a fun time and makes great gifts!

Hi Christine. I saw that you mentioned the Clayhouse a while back. Do you know if it is still in business? If so, where in Kissimmee is it located? Looking for ideas for a tween birthday party coming up. Any info is greatly appreciated. I can be reached directly at Stephanie@SwayingPalmTreeSoaps.com Thanks, Stephanie

Yes, It is on the corner of Broadway and darlington streets. It is in the same block as the comic book shop. We love to go there, and they have lots of ideas.

There's a new Barber Shop located in the Shoppes of Bellalago called "New Era - Barbers | Apparel" Their motto is "Changing the face of haircuts". I took my son there yesterday to get a haircut. The owner was very nice and Christian . He asked that we spread the word that he is there in our neighborhood. I was hoping that you might mention them in your next Bellalago newsletter. It's very convenient having a Barber Shop right outside of our neighborhood. They can be reached at 407-879-1186 (management) & 407-846-0026 at the Barber Shop.
    Thanks and take care,
    Ericka

We found it on Saturday when we went to Kissimmee for the haunted house tour there in the park. I went for a stroll down Main St and saw it. I went in but I didn't see anything that I really wanted to work on plus I didn't really have the time. I might go back and work on some of the Christmas items. Thanks again for announcing it. Because of your blog I found a new place to check out occasionally.

    FRIENDS OF THE POINCIANA HOSPITAL
Goal: To Make the Hospital in Poinciana a Reality

    POINCIANA HOSPITAL UPDATE
    SEPTEMBER 8, 2010

    Expecting Good News Soon
Developer for Construction of Medical Arts Building To Be Named

    (Poinciana)

The initial details on the purchase of the property for the Poinciana Hospital site were made public last June 1, 2010 by Dan Miller, President of the Tampa Division, Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) at a meeting held at the Poinciana Community Center

He informed the residents that the first property of 10 acres had been purchased adjacent to the Market Place on State Road 580 in Osceola County in front of Solivita. The first phase of the long awaited Medical Center is the Medical Arts Building which will house, medical offices, emergency room, labs etc. In addition a deposit towards the 30 acres for the Medical Center (Hospital) was also made.

The following approximate dates were also given:
    • Medical Arts Building -
    Start date of construction
6-8 months ( this would mean between December 2010 and February 2011)
    completion date –winter 2011
    • Medical Center:
To be Purchased and construction start up – end of 2011 with completion date –spring 2013

Over 400 residents present were told that Due Diligence had to be done prior to construction of the Medical Arts Building which could take three months or more. Part of the Due Diligence is to close on the property; which everyone who has purchased property or a home should know can take upwards of three months. Brian Marger, Chief Operating Officer of Osceola Regional Hospital, whose parent company is HCA’ stated that the property should close by the 4th Quarter of 2010 (September - December).

Marger also stated that HCA has received responses from several developers to a Request For Proposal for the Medical Arts Building the week of August 30, 2010 and they will be reviewing those proposals and hopefully be selecting a developer that week (August 30 - September 3, 2010). Friends of the Poinciana Hospital (FOPH) requested that a sign be placed on the site stating “FUTURE SITE OF THE MEDICAL ARTS BUILDING”. Marger said it would be placed on the property after the developer has been selected. We asked him if he would give FOPH enough notification to inform the residents in a timely fashion and he stated he would be sure to keep in touch.
